UFC Fighter Slammed for Offensive, Antisemitic Comments

MMA fighter Bryce Mitchell is under fire for antisemitic comments made on the debut episode of his podcast.

In the premiere episode of his ArkanSanity podcast co-hosted with ex-UFC fighter Roli Delgado, Mitchell spoke about his admiration for Adolf Hitler and the work the Nazi Party did in expelling and exterminating Jewish people across the European continent.

“I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research, not my public education indoctrination,” Mitchell stated plainly. “He was a guy I’d go fishing with.”

“He fought for his country. He wanted to purify it by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country that were turning them all into gays,” he continued. “They were gaying out the kids, they were queering out the women, they were queering out the dudes.” He went on to praise the Nazis‘ first book burning at Berlin’s historic Institute for Sexual Science in 1933.

After Delgado warned him of the dangers of Holocaust denialism and placing certain races in camps, Mitchell pushed back, imploring people to do their own research. “You believe your public education because you haven’t done your own research. When you realize there’s no possible way they could’ve burned and cremated 6 million bodies, you’re gonna realize the Holocaust ain’t real,” Mitchell said.

He went on to clarify, however, that he wasn’t a Nazi sympathizer. “He ain’t perfect. I’m not a Nazi. I don’t love Nazis. I don’t want Nazis to win the war. I’m just saying they were in a bad spot when Hitler come to power,” he explained.

The comments caught fire on social media, prompting a response from UFC CEO and president Dana White when speaking to reporters on Jan. 30. White called Mitchell “probably one of the dumbest human beings,” according to TMZ.

“We’ve obviously reached out to Bryce and when we read what he said and let him know how we feel about it, we are beyond disgusted,” he said.

However, UFC won’t be taking any administrative action against the 30-year-old, as White cited the words as part of Mitchell’s free speech. Instead, he implored those upset to tune in to Mitchell’s next match.

“That’s the beautiful thing about this business,” he said. “For all of you who hate Bryce Mitchell, you get to see him hopefully get his a– whooped on global television.”

Mitchell has yet to address the controversy.
