Swift was seen on camera clinking champagne glasses with Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, after the Cowboy Carter artist accepted her Grammy onstage on Feb. 2.

Swift was also a nominee in the album of the year category, for her The Tortured Poets Department.

The most Grammy-winning artist, ever, officially has an album of the year honor.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter was named album of the year on Sunday, leaving many in the audience teary-eyed (we saw that, Lady Gaga!).

The singer took the stage with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, first thanking and praising the firefighters who presented her with the award.

“I just feel very full and very honored,” said Beyoncé. “It’s been many, many years.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post A swath of Los Angeles firefighters presented the album of the year Grammy on Feb. 2, an opportunity given to them in the wake of the wildfire devastation.

“Thank you for supporting all of us and recognizing the heroes that are standing behind me and the sheroes,” L.A. Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone said, thanking “first responders who came from near and far” to battle the blaze.

“Our heartfelt condolences and prayers remain with all the families” who lost loved ones or homes or businesses, Marrone said. “I am confident that we will recover and rebuild together.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Charli xcx’s Brat revolution just arrived at the Crypto.com Arena.

Wearing a bra and underwear, Charli xcx brought strobe lights and many of her famous friends onstage for a rave-like atmosphere while she performed “Von Dutch” and “Guess” off June 2024’s Brat.

“People wanted to be a little bit messy and own the imperfect parts of themselves,” Charli xcx said of the album’s popularity in a video that aired before her performance. She teased, “I’m going to perform the least Grammy-appropriate songs.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Kendrick Lamar’s Grammys domination continued, with another big win for “Not Like Us.”

Lamar’s diss track was named song of the year. He was presented the honor by music icon Diana Ross, which prompted the rapper to bow down to her when he took the stage.

“Nothing more powerful than rap music,” said Lamar during his speech. “Respect the art form, it’ll get you where you need to go.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Alicia Keys’ “constant inspiration,” as well as her “voice,” “talent” and “heart” were among the qualities honored when she was named the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award winner on Feb. 2.

After an introduction from Queen Latifah highlighting her “extraordinary impact,” a tribute video played showcasing the many milestones of Keys’ career.

“She’s raised millions to help children in need,” Latifah highlighted of Keys in the video. “The Recording Academy is proud to honor a visionary, a trailblazer and a global inspiration.”

Keys then took the stage holding hands with her 10-year-old son, Genesis.

During her speech, “This is for all the ladies that know the magic that they bring to the room.”

“This is not the time shut down a diversity of voices,” said Keys, seemingly referencing President Donald Trump’s recent public crusade against diversity equity and inclusion initiatives. “DEI is not a threat it’s a gift and the more voices the more powerful the sound.”

Said Keys, “This room is unstoppable, powerful, it’s uniqueness at its finest.”

The Global Impact Award, first established in 2023, recognizes artists “whose influence extends far beyond music.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Sunday night winner Shakira followed up her Grammys victory with a live performance, her first at the annual awards show since 2007.

The Spanish artist sang her tracks “Ojos Asi” and “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” and showed off her signature dance moves in a bra top and low-slung skirt.

Sunday is a doubly special day for Shakira, who was also celebrating her 48th birthday.

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Chris Martin performed an emotional tribute to those lost in the past year for the 2025 Grammys in memoriam segment.

Singing Coldplay’s latest single, “All My Love,” Martin played the piano as images of late members of the music industry were projected onto a screen behind him.

Among those honored were Liam Payne, Kris Kristofferson and Tito Jackson, among others.

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die with a Smile” is the 2025 winner of best pop duo/group performance.

“I’m so honored to have a small part in your giant musical legacy,” Mars told Gaga during their acceptance speech.

She returned the praise, turning to Mars onstage to praise the singer: “You are an incredible human being, you’re a musician for the ages, I don’t know music without Bruno.”

Gaga then used her moment to speak up for trans people, telling them, “You are not invisible.” The moment earned her a standing ovation from much of the audience.

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Wicked star Cynthia Erivo was the first performer to take the stage during the Quincy Jones tribute, singing Frank Sinatra’s rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon,” which Jones arranged, accompanied by Herbie Hancock.

Lainey Wilson performed next, with help from Jacob Collier, singing, “Let The Good Times Roll.”

Iconic musician Stevie Wonder then joined Hancock, playing the harmonica to “Bluesette,” from Jones’ 1975 album.

Telling the late Jones, “I love you,” Wonder reflected on recording the Jones-produced “We Are the World.” Then, joined by a choir of student singers in “L.A.” heart shirts (and much of the Grammys audience), Wonder sang the 1985 charity single.

Smith took the stage one last time, stating, “Quincy Jones always took care of people, and that’s how he fed the world.”

The tribute ended with Janelle Monáe, dressed in Michael Jackson’s iconic style, singing, “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough.” (Jones produced the song).

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Will Smith provided the introductory message for the highly-anticipated Quincy Jones tribute during the Grammys, marking a rare return to an awards show stage following his 2022 Oscars incident.

“We lost one of the most groundbreaking and influential figures of our time” in Jones’ death in Nov. 2024, Smith said on Feb. 2, noting Jones as “a brilliant, 28-time Grammy award-winning producer, arranger, film and television composer.”

Smith said Jones “changed my life forever,” noting, “Quincy made so many music greats across multiple genres sound even greater.”

She also added a tribute to “all of those women who work really hard everyday to provide for their families,” calling them “she-wolfs.”

Lady Gaga’s new music video for her track “Abracadabra,” off her upcoming studio album Mayhem, debuted during a commercial break on Sunday.

The Weeknd said in March 2021 that he was done with the Recording Academy. “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys,” he told The New York Times at the time.

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars opted to revisit a The Mamas & the Papas classic for their Grammys performance, rather than their nominated duet “Die with a Smile.”

Dressed in vintage garb, the artists instead sang “California Dreamin’,” a tribute, again, to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires.

“Die with a Smile” was nominated as song of the year and best pop duo/group performance.

Chappell Roan is the best new artist!

The pop phenomenon won the category on Feb. 2, taking the stage and immediately losing her hat. “Thank you to my fellow nominees whose music got me through this year,” she kicked off her speech while reading from a journal.

Roan said that “I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front [of music industry executives]” she’d deliver an impassioned message.

That message? “Record labels need to treat their artists as valuable employees … labels, we’ve got you, but do you got us?”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post Despite reports, PEOPLE can confirm that Kanye West was not asked to leave the 2025 Grammy Awards. Instead, he simply went home of his own accord after making a jaw-dropping appearance on the red carpet with wife Bianca Censori.

Ahead of the performance, Roan said during a Grammys video, that the song is her “love-letter to L.A.”

Copy The Link To This Blog Post After an impromptu performance of their hit “Under the Bridge,” Chad Smith and Anthony Kiedis presented best pop vocal album to Sabrina Carpenter for Short n’ Sweet.

“This is my first Grammy so I’m gonna cry,” Carpenter admitted after taking the stage in a brown, strapless dress. She concluded her speech with a bleeped-out, “Thank you, holy s—, bye.”

Carpenter defeated her close pal Taylor Swift in the category, though the latter jumped up and down in excitement for the younger pop star as her victory was announced.

“I don’t wanna make this long, but this category was introduced in 1989. And two women have won — three women have won — Lauryn Hill, Cardi B and Doechii,” she said in her acceptance speech. “I put my heart and my soul into this mixtape. I bared my life. I went through so much. I dedicated myself to sobriety and God told me I would be rewarded.”

After beginning the performance onstage in a sequined tuxedo-like bodysuit — and struggling to find center in the spotlight — Carpenter stripped to reveal a light blue leotard.

She navigated up and down a grand staircase, did some tap dancing and even visited a faux front porch.

Copy The Link To This Blog Post In addition to traditional commercials during the 2025 Grammys, there will also be advertisements for local Los Angeles businesses that have been impacted by the wildfires.

The first of such was for Orla Floral Studio, an Altadena business that was destroyed in the fires. Helping out in the ad? Singer Doja Cat, who encouraged viewers to support the florist.

“Tens of thousands of people have lost their homes,” said Noah, later noting, “It’s often said that in the darkest times, the best of humanity shows through.”

Noah also spoke about some of the city’s iconic musicians, before introducing the “I Love L.A.” tribute performers.

Later, after the performance, Noah walked around the tables of attendees and did, in fact, remark on the stars present.

Ooh, bet you’re thinking, “she’s so cool” . . . we are!

Gracie Abrams made the Grammy Awards red carpet a bridal moment in a cream-colored Chanel gown, which she paired with an unexpected awards show accessory: a veil.

The pop star’s short hair was worn parted down the middle, with a simple cream veil pinned to the back of her head. The hood-like veil attached to the top of her off-the-shoulder gown.
