Former Portland Trail Blazers center is on his way from the Phoenix Suns to the Charlotte Hornets, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The Suns are including a 2026 first-round pick to the Hornets for Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick.

Nurkic had been included in rumors for days after falling out both with Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer and from the Suns’ rotation.

Nurkic’s production is at a nadir since becoming a starter with the Blazers in 2017, with just 8.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 0.6 blocks, and 1.9 assists on 45% shooting in 25 games this season.
