The Dallas Mavericks (26-25) finish out their long road trip Thursday evening with a game against the reigning NBA Champion Boston Celtics (36-15). The game is also on TNT, which should be real fun for Mavericks fans as Charles and Kenny ramble about how Dallas is better now or some such nonsense. Dallas has lost three in a row after starting out the trip with a win. The Celtics are riding a four game win streak. Lets get to the things to know:
Anthony Davis is questionable at the moment and it’s expected that he doesn’t debut in a Mavericks uniform until Saturday against the Rockets. Dereck Lively is out. Caleb Martin is going to be out for several weeks (thanks Nico!). Dwight Powell remains out and PJ Washington will miss this game due to the birth of his son.
This one is a schedule loss. The team’s tired from being on the road, the opponents have sucked, and vampire GM Nico Harrison has sucked the life out of the team, at least right now. Hard to envision what there’s going to be to take away from this one, but we’ll find something!
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embedded below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also, consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start after the game. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
