The family of late actress Kim Sae Ron is pursuing legal action against those spreading malicious rumors after her passing. Her father has expressed heartbreak and anger over false accusations, and a legal team is gathering evidence to protect her legacy and stop harmful misinformation.

The family of late South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron is taking legal action against those responsible for spreading malicious rumors following her tragic passing on February 16.

In an interview with Daily Sports, her father expressed his heartbreak and anger over the false narratives circulating online, particularly those spread by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho. Calling these actions “unforgivable,” he confirmed that legal proceedings are underway.

Kim Sae Ron widely known for her role in ‘Bloodhounds,’ had been a frequent target of online scrutiny, with past incidents—such as a DUI case—being repeatedly brought up. According to Daily Sports, Lee Jin Ho had posted multiple videos discussing her controversies and personal matters, including an Instagram post where she appeared with a man and captioned it “Marry.” After news of her passing broke, he made these videos private, later claiming they were created with the consent of her agency.

Her father however, strongly refuted this, accusing Lee Jin Ho of distorting the truth to serve his own interests. He stated that the YouTuber spread false narratives including unfounded claims that the family misused Kim Sae Ron’s earnings and disturbed her ashes at the ossuary. In his statement, he expressed deep sorrow and frustration, emphasizing that these rumors not only disrespected his daughter’s memory but also inflicted immense pain on her loved ones.

The family is particularly concerned about the impact of these rumors on Kim Sae Ron’s younger sisters. As reported by Daily Sports, they have faced unwarranted criticism due to the spread of misinformation. Her father admitted that he had considered confronting Lee Jin Ho in anger but ultimately chose to seek justice through legal channels, believing this to be the most effective way to stop the spread of harmful content.

Expressing his grief, he stated, “I feel so wronged, angry and devastated.” However, he also acknowledged the support he has received and revealed that a legal team is currently collecting evidence to take action against those responsible. He remains determined to protect his daughter’s legacy and prevent further harm caused by reckless speculation.

With legal action now in progress, Kim Sae Ron’s family hopes to put an end to the false rumors and ensure accountability for those spreading them.
