Method Man accused of punching man in NYC: sources

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – Rapper Method Man, a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, was accused of attacking a man on Staten Island on Tuesday, sources told PIX11 News Friday morning.

Police officers were called to 300 West Service Rd. around 3:10 p.m., according to authorities. An argument between two men had gotten physical, police said.

A 28-year-old man was punched in the face by another man who was not on the scene when officers arrived, according to authorities. Sources said Method Man was accused in the assault.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing, police said. A representative for Method Man denied the allegations against the rapper in a statement to the New York Post.
