Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions will begin their playoff run this Saturday against the Washington Commanders. Home-field advantage will be on full display this evening for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
This is considered “the year” for the Lions to finally win a Super Bowl. While the defense is banged up, the offense has looked so explosive that it’ll be tough to pick against them at any point this postseason. Goff had an MVP-caliber regular season, completing a career-high 72.4 percent of his passes for 4,629 yards with 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The veteran signal-caller will receive plenty of support from tonight from the fans. We’d have to imagine his wife, Christen Harper, will also be on her feet cheering from start to finish.
Goff and Harper started dating in 2019. It was eventually revealed that she initiated their relationship by sending the first text.
“I swore that he messaged me first,” Harper said. “But when we went and looked back, I actually sent the first message. So all you ladies out there, you better send the first message because you never know. You gotta shoot your shot. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.”
That turned out to be a wise move on Harper’s part.

In June 2024, Goff and Harper got married in Ojai, California. They were surrounded by their closest friends on their special day.
According to reports, Harper wore a custom wedding dress by Katherine Tash.
Outside of her relationship with Goff, fans know Harper because of her work as a model. She has been featured in the last three issues of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
In 2022, Harper was named SI Swimsuit’s co-Rookie of the Year. It was a dream come true for the Southern California native.
“Sports Illustrated has been a lifetime goal of mine since I was a young girl. For so many years, I hoped to get a casting in New York with SI but I never quite got there, so I decided SI Swim Search was the perfect way to take things into my own hands and go after my biggest dream. I would always be so excited for the issue to come out and count down the days until I could pick it up,” Harper said. “I remember rushing to the newsstand to pick up a copy after school and reading the magazine from front to back about 100 times like it was my job. My favorite and most memorable cover was the 2011 issue with Irina Shayk—I had it taped to my school binder so I could look at it every single day.”
Harper is expected to be featured in the 2025 issue of SI Swimsuit. After all, she has become quite popular over the past few years.
For now, Harper will be in Detroit cheering on the Lions. Obviously, she’d love to see her husband make it back to the Super Bowl.
We’ll see if Goff can continue winning – on and off the field.
