Jason Aldean made a daring political statement by performing for President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Fans, though, weren’t thrilled to have him, especially since they thought he sounded sick. “hes got cold blocked nose,” a fan wrote in the YouTube livestream comment section. Another added: “GOT SOME KLENNEX… ANYONE ???”
Some people attributed the performance issue to more of a technical problem. “it’s the audio you fools your listening to it on YouTube lol aldean is the fing man,” a fan defended Jason. The sound issues were going on all throughout inauguration day. “Which sound technician is it that sabotaged the sound today several times,” one person said.
Ahead of his performance, he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Such an honor to be playing for our president @realDonaldTrump tonight in DC. Excited for where we are headed as a country, the feeling here is electric. We can’t wait to rip it up tonight and have some fun.”
Following the ceremony, a Liberty Ball occurred where high-ranking political figures, wealthy elites, and entertainment celebrities will gather to celebrate Trump’s new era of politics. Jason performed alongside acts like Nelly, Snoop Dogg, and The Village People. Some of these musicians also took the stage at Trump’s Victory Rally, which was held on Sunday.
Previously, Jason took a bit of a ‘no politics’ stance on the world, keeping himself separate from current events. In recent years, that’s taken a harsh U-turn as he defended his decision to speak up. Jason told CBS Mornings anchor Gayle King: “I think the fact that when he first came out, he didn’t talk like a politician. He wasn’t that guy. He was a guy that spoke my language, put it in layman terms for me a little bit.

“I did watch a lot of stuff that did happen with him over the last few years where he had a lot of people that were fans of his and then he became president and they weren’t a fan of his anymore and now you’re seeing people become a fan again, now that he’s in office. To me, he’s a guy who spoke my language. I like what he stands for. I like that he’s a no BS kind of guy.”
Jason also confessed that he’s looking forward to a new “era” in American politics. He added: “The last few years have been… kind of really divisive and just a lot of stuff going on, and I just hope this is kind of the beginning of a new era for our country and kind of get back on track.”
