Listen, I have taken a backseat to the Internet for a few days while I deal with something offline. But in that time, the amount of texts and calls I’ve received simply yelling “MONTOYA POR FAVOR” at me made me log back online. And I’m not sure what I thought it would be, but the headline is correct: a viral clip of a Spanish reality star watching his girlfriend get what looks to be the best sex of her life and all he can do is watch and yell Spanish words in dismay. You don’t need to know a word of Spanish to see the pain this fella is in, but if you do want to watch it translated here you go:

We haven’t seen this level of reality tv in ages. I’m not even a reality TV guy but this apparently is on a show called La Isla de las Tentaciones. Some context is needed to how we got here so here we go. It’s a Spanish show that is basically a spinoff of Temptation Island, where they send five couples to luxurious villas and test their loyalty with a group of men and women called the Testers. The contestants basically sit and watch on a television screen to see if they’ll pass, and boy did Montoya’s girlfriend fail.

The only thing I could find out about this is that earlier in the season Montoya received a lapdance and “cheated” on his girlfriend, to which she basically brought a knife to a fist fight and stabbed him directly in the heart and turned it. A couple hundred million views later, and every sports team on the planet using him as a meme, and here we are:

I mean just look at the level of defeat on this guy after running through the beach knowing his girlfriend was 100 yards away having the time of her life:

There’s a lesson here, to which I’m not sure, but it’s there. Some would say it’s a dish served cold of fuck around and find out after he initiated the cheating, while others say that you’ve gotta protect your heart so you don’t become another Montoya. And regardless, this TV show probably is gonna break record numbers of reality tv viewership the next episode they release. Hate to see it.
