Did Pageviews do it again or did Pageviews do it again? 

Every decent person in the free world has been hoping to see John Rocker get his brains bashed in for more than two decades now, with Mets fans like myself hoping it would be someone that rode the 7 train doing said brain bashing. It turns out we got an even better combatant with an actual member of the 1999 Mets stepping up who just so happens to be the father of the best player in the NFL (I don’t care what the Super Bowl box score or the haters say. Every single NFL team would take Patrick Mahomes 1-1 if there was a Madden fantasy draft of the entire league). 

Personally, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was my guy on the 1999 Mets (maybe my favorite Mets team ever) because I’ve always been a fan of the long relievers that could work your team out of a jam in the middle innings and also hit a little bit since Mahomes was a career lifetime .256 hitter, albeit in an admittedly veryyyyy small sample size.

But we are not excited about Mahomes landing couple of hits on the diamond. We are excited about him landing some hits on John Rocker’s face in the squared circle of some backwoods West Virginia arena (even though I’m sure more than a few people wouldn’t mind Mahomes taking some hits after his recent headlines in the news).

Add all of that up with Portnoy’s new blood feud with Patrick Mahomes Jr. and we could have ourselves a hell of a night before you start listing out all the nutjobs we pluck from bumfuck towns that turn Rough N Rowdy into the spectacle it has been forever. 

I can’t wait for April 18th AKA Bad Friday, which is a great name for a boxing card as well as an easy way to remember when Easter is this year.
