Broncos vs. Bills score and live updates: Josh Allen’s TD pass extends Buffalo’s lead over Denver

Wil Lutz’s 50-yard field-goal attempt on the final play of the second quarter hit the right upright, a missed opportunity for the Broncos to tie the game at halftime.

That Denver would be level had that ball drifted a couple inches to the left is remarkable given how much Buffalo dominated the interior on both sides of the ball in the first half.

The Bills rushed for 128 yards on 22 carries in the first half (5.8 yards per attempt) and had 100 yards rushing on their first two drives alone. The Broncos, meanwhile, had 44 yards on 10 carries, but 12 yards of that came on a Bo Nix scramble on Denver’s final drive. The Bills have dominated time of possession and have run 36 plays to Denver’s 25 despite the Broncos having run four possessions to the Bills’ three.

All things considered, the low-possession nature of the game gives the Broncos a chance to be within a possession heading into the fourth quarter. That’s probably as much as they could ask for given how the game has unfolded.
