Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens Divisional Round playoff second-half game thread

Bills Mafia, you Buffalo Bills are taking it to the Baltimore Ravens — leading 21-10 at halftime. The majority of experts have been all-in on the Ravens this season, this week, and gave the Bills little chance to make any noise this evening.

Well, it’s already loud and we’re just getting started. Buffalo’s defense showed up ready for quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry. Poor decisions by Jackson have led to two turnovers, being bailed out by an absolutely brutal flag on left tackle Dion Dawkins who was just doing his job really well.

While that flag cost the Bills at least three additional points, it didn’t sink their game plan. Late in the first half, former Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White found himself on the wrong end of a really bad flag for defensive pass interference. Hopefully the refs can learn more about the game of football during the break.

Quarterback Josh Allen has played his typical brand of no-holds-barred physical football, carrying five time for 15 yards and a pair of touchdown scores. Early in action, running back James Cook looked unstoppable, but some questionable play calls in the early parts of downs have cost him yards.

Notably, Shakir leads all of Buffalo’s receivers, catching all three passes his way for 51 yards. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady should look to get Shakir more involved in the second half.

Perhaps the biggest note of the first half centers around running back Derrick Henry’s production. Henry has just 21 yards on eight carries. The Bills’ front seven heard the noise and they made a point of quieting the crowd.

The Bills defense has played man coverage on 46.7% of pass plays in the first half, the unit’s highest rate since Week 12, 2022.

The Bills have generated pressure on all seven plays in man (100%), compared to one pressure on eight plays in zone (12.5%).#BALvsBUF | #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/GKwargu1GU

So far, so good. But there’s still a half left to play.

Here you go, Rumblers! This is your second-half thread to enjoy the rest of this evening’s game. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
