By the numbers: Super Bowl LIX

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will be trying to rack up points at the Super Bowl, but the score isn’t the only important number.

WalletHub broke down data and statistics of the big game.

This is the seventh time the Chiefs have played in the Super Bowl. They’ve taken home the trophy four times.

The Eagles have made five appearances and won once.

They’ve faced off once before.

As for the fans, 83,000 of them are expected to watch the game live at the Caesars Superdome.

When it comes to spending money, football fans don’t shy away from shelling out.

The game is expected to bring in more than $500 million in estimated economic impact.

A ticket to this Super Bowl costs an average $11,067 on the resale market. That’s a 17% increase from 2024.

Over the past five years, the average price for a ticket was $7,584. That may seem like a high price to pay, but it doesn’t compare to the most money ever paid: $45,000.

75% of the tickets are controlled by the NFL.

Fans not attending the game in person may be watching at a party.

113.7 million Americans plan to throw or attend a Super Bowl party.

During the game, Americans are going to eat a lot of food, both at the stadium and at home.

Super Bowl Sunday is the second-highest food consumption day in the U.S. In fact, according to WalletHub, people are going to eat an average of 6,000 calories on Sunday.

1.45 billion chicken wings will be eaten along with 11.2 million pounds of potato chips.

The game isn’t the only thing people like about the Super Bowl. Americans also look forward to the ads each year.

17% of viewers said the commercials are the best part.

A 30-second ad during the 2025 Super Bowl cost $7 million. That’s a 192% increase over the past 20 years.

There will be a total of 43 minutes and 45 seconds of ads this year.
