Chiefs set to play Bills in AFC Championship once again

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Only four teams remain in the NFL playoffs and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to battle the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship once again.

The Chiefs are coming off a 23-14 win over the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-25 in the Divisional Round.

This will be the fourth meeting in the playoffs between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs have won the three previous matchups. The Chiefs defeated them in last year’s and the 2022 Divisional Round along with the 2020 AFC Championship.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the only quarterbacks to have faced each other more in the postseason, with a total of five matchups.

The two teams faced off in Week 11 in November, when the Bills defeated the Chiefs 30-21, handing them their first loss of the season.

Allen is 4-1 against Mahomes in the regular season while Mahomes is 3-0 against Allen in the postseason.

This is the Chiefs’ seventh consecutive AFC Championship game as they look to become the first team to three-peat in NFL history while the Bills are searching for their first Super Bowl.

The two teams and quarterbacks have treated us to thrilling matchups in the past with this round expected to be no different.

Kickoff for the AFC Championship will be at 5:30 p.m. The winner will face the winner of the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship.
