WASHINGTON (7News) — Snow will rapidly draw to a close early Wednesday. About a 12-hour lull is anticipated before another round of potentially disruptive weather arrives. High temperatures are expected to remain around the upper 30s.
Plan for a wintry mix with freezing rain and sleet by the evening before a transition to all rain during the overnight. Additional weather alerts are likely to be issued by the National Weather Service.
Tonight, temperatures will rise into the night with waves of rain, some heavy at times. With the lingering snow piles, watch for ponding water on the roads.
Thursday, lingering showers will draw to a close early by sun up and skies will begin to clear. Temperatures will push 50 degrees with a southwesterly wind.
By Friday, what is left of any snow from earlier in the week will continue to melt as temperatures reach 40 degrees.
