DeSantis declares State of Emergency as Florida braces for arctic blast
Gov. Ron DeSantis has issued a State of Emergency in Florida because of the winter storms.

DeSantis said the expected conditions in North Florida are projected to constitute a major disaster.
That includes hazardous driving conditions across Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

In Central Florida, a light mix of freezing rain and sleet is possible in parts of Marion County, where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.
Parts of Florida’s Panhandle could receive 2 to 4 inches of snow.

The state of emergency will remain in place for 60 days.
