Irish produced film The Apprentice scores multiple Oscar nominations

The complete list of nominees for the 97th Academy Awards has been announced.

The nominees in all 23 categories were revealed in a livestream by actor-writer-comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang on Thursday afternoon (Irish time).

Despite fears the Oscars wouldn’t go ahead due to the devastating wildfires, the ceremony is still set for Sunday, March 2nd, at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted for the first time ever by Conan O’Brien, following in the footsteps of previous hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Chris Rock, Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes, to name a few.

Sadly, the Irish film Kneecap was snubbed for both International Feature Film and Best Original Song, but not all hope was lost for the Irish as the Irish-produced movie The Apprentice has scored multiple nominations.
