Michigan winter storm: Live radar as snow hits this weekend

Here we go again. Another winter storm system is on the way to Michigan, bringing more snow to the entire state Friday night into Saturday afternoon.

More substantial snow accumulation is expected in western, northern and middle Michigan than the southeast region of the state, according to the National Weather Service. Expect 4-6 inches in those regions with 6-8 inches possible in parts of northeast Michigan. In metro Detroit, 2-4 inches of snow is expected.

Meanwhile, the Upper Peninsula is expected to see a max of 2 to 4 inches.

In metro Detroit, expect periods of drizzle or freezing drizzle Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, especially south of M-59.

Slow travel is likely from late Friday through Saturday evening.
