WASHINGTON – Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence was booed when he arrived at the Capitol Rotunda ahead of the swearing-in ceremony for President-elect Donald Trump on Monday.
FOX 5’s Jacqueline Matter reported that many in attendance at the Capitol One Arena began booing when Pence was seen on the venue’s large video screen that was broadcasting live.
Pence, who served as vice president during Trump’s first term but had a falling out with his former boss over Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 election, arrived around 11 a.m.
JD Vance will serve as Trump’s Vice President for his second term.
