Not exactly a conducive environment for negotiating million dollar deals.

Again, a pretty good indication that not much is happening in NetsLand. But across the league, it’s been a wild week with all-stars and fan favorites being shuffled around the league like pieces on an very expensive chess board.

As for midnight Wednesday. seven trades have been officially completed and cleared by the league office since February 1, per Hoops Rumors. Another six are pending.

More than that, the list of those moved include Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler, multiple All-NBA selections, as well as Brandon Ingram and De’Aaron Fox, former All-Stars plus former Nets point guard Dennis Schroder (for the second time in two months) and former Nets wing Bruce Brown. The Knicks who few expected to be active, traded Jericho Sims for Delon Wright. Teams also exchanged picks and other assets to get under various aprons and thresholds.

Will the Nets join in the fun? As NetsDaily and others have reported, they are in receive mode. As one insider said, the team is taking calls, not making them. Cam Johnson who many thought was headed elsewhere may wind up staying, his reported price too rich. Besides, the Nets already lead the league in draft picks and salary cap space this summer.
