NFL playoffs live chat: Wild Card Sunday tripleheader

The Wild Card round of the 2024-25 NFL playoffs continues on Sunday with a tripleheader of AFC and NFC games.

Things start out with the AFC No. 7 Denver Broncos (10-7) at No. 2 Buffalo Bills (13-4) squaring off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+, followed by the NFC No. 7 Green Bay Packers (11-6) at No. 2 Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX, and wrapping up the day will be the NFC No. 6 Washington Commanders at No. 3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7) on NBC/Peacock.

Broncos at Bills

Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025

Time: 1 p.m. ET

Location: Highmark Stadium in Erie County, New York

TV: CBS

Announcers: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson (field reporter)

Streaming: Paramount+, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ Premium

Betting line via FanDuel Sportsbook: Bills -8.5 points.

While the Bills are the heavy favorite, the Broncos are an impressive young team, led by their rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Denver is playing above their heads and have as good of a shot to pull off an upset as any of the Wild Card underdogs in this year’s playoffs.

If the Broncos win, they’ll travel to Kansas City in the Divisional Round to try and knock off the Chiefs, while the Texans would go to the Ravens in the other AFC matchup.

If the Bills win, they’ll host the Baltimore Ravens, who advanced after beating the Steelers on Saturday. Leaving the Chiefs to host the Texans in the other AFC game.

Packers at Eagles

Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025

Time: 4:30 p.m. ET

Location: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

TV: FOX

Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, and field reporters Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi

Streaming: FOX Sports, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ Premium

Betting line via FanDuel Sportsbook: Eagles -4.5 points.

These two teams opened the 2024 NFL season in Brazil, with the Eagles walking away with a 34-29 victory. A lot has happened since that early game in September, but for the most part, these two teams are very much who we thought they were ahead of the season.

If the Packers win, as the No. 7 seed, they’ll be the Lions’ opponents in the Divisional Round. And if the Eagles win, they’ll maintain their home-field advantage for another week and will await their next opponent, the Vikings, Rams, or Bucs.

Commanders at Buccaneers

Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025

Time: 8 p.m. ET

Location: Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida

TV: NBC

Announcers: Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark (field reporter)

Online Streaming: Peacock, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ Premium

Betting line via FanDuel Sportsbook: Bucs -3 points.

Ironically, the Packers and Eagles weren’t the only Wild Card opponents who met in Week 1, as the Commanders and Bucs also faced off with Tampa Bay spoiling Jayden Daniels’ NFL debut 37-20. Daniels has since blossomed over his rookie season, while Baker Mayfield continues to prove the doubters who wrote him off too early wrong.

If the Commanders win, they’ll either travel to Detroit to face the Lions (if the Eagles beat the Packers) or take on the winner of the Rams-Vikings game on Monday. And if the Bucs win, they would travel to Philly (if the Eagles beat the Packers) or host the winner of the Rams-Vikings game.
