Rock band Nine Inch Nails is making its return to the Twin Cities for the first time in over a decade.
The “Peel It Back Tour 2025” will stop at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Sunday, Aug. 17. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 29 at noon via Ticketmaster.
Nine Inch Nails last played in the state at Xcel Energy Center on Sept. 28, 2013, according to Concert Archives. However, band member Alessandro Cortini recently passed through town for a show at The Cedar Cultural Center in October.
It’s also the first tour for NIN since 2022.
The announcement comes during awards season, where band members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are nominated for their film and TV work. The duo has been shortlisted at the Oscars for best original score and best original song — “Compress/Repress” — in the film, Challengers.
They already won best original score at the Golden Globes for the film, and the song is also nominated for a Grammy Award, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s their fourth Oscar nomination, following Best Original Score nods for Mank, The Social Network, and Soul. They won for the latter two.
Nine Inch Nails is best known for songs like “Closer,” “The Hand That Feeds,” and “Hurt.”
