The clip is everywhere, so here’s a full rundown of the Spanish Temptation Island drama

Everyone is talking about that insanely dramatic clip from the Spanish version of the reality dating show Temptation Island.

It follows four couples who travel to a tropical island to have their relationship tested before deciding whether they actually want to commit.

The juicy scene has gone viral on social media and become a massive meme, but it’s all in Spanish, so what’s actually going on?

Sadly, you can’t watch it in the UK, so a full explainer of all the drama that went down on the show.

That viral Temptation Island clip explained

The guy in the clip is called José Carlos Montoya and he’s watching his girlfriend Anita Williams get intimate with another contestant, Manuel, in real-time. Yes, Temptation Island is pretty steamy.

He’s literally watching them get down and dirty on a big screen next to the show’s presenter and his reaction is priceless. He drops to his knees, grabs his shirt, then runs along the beach to confront the couple.

Montoya tries to storm into the villa where his girlfriend is cheating but security doesn’t let him in, leaving him screaming on the sand.

The presenter tries to calm him down, saying: “Montoya, por favour!” That means “Montoya, please!” and the phrase has gone viral online as people share memes about the dramatic moment.

this is CINEMA…Montoya..the tension… you don’t need to speak spanish to understand, this is insane https://t.co/2sYZA8jBSM

Montoya’s girlfriend begged for his forgiveness

After that massive cliffhanger, the next episode begins with Anita realising that Montoya saw everything. She stops sleeping with the guy instantly and runs out to lash out at her partner.

She screams and swears at him and Montoya says: “You destroyed me, you will regret it for the rest of your life.” However, Anita then regrets it and goes to find him on the beach.

They hug and she pleads for his forgiveness, even asking to go home with him. The presenter then separates the couple and tells them that the rule break would have consequences.

I need to watch Temptation Island España. I literally have to see what Montoya does next.

That Spanish Temptation Island clip is the exact kind of steamy drama I’ve been wanting Love Island to give

Wait, did he actually cheat first?!

On social media, people are pointing out that Montoya is a hypocrite because he actually cheated first earlier in the season, but that’s not entirely true.

He got a lap dance from a girl and they had a small kiss, but he didn’t sleep with anyone, and people are saying his actions were pretty minor in comparison.

This is the kind of drama Love Island needs!
