Woman arrested in connection to death of Telemundo reporter covering Super Bowl in New Orleans

A Louisiana woman was arrested in connection to the death of a Kansas City Telemundo reporter while he was in New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl, police said Friday.

Danette Colbert, of Slidell, was busted after police discovered she was allegedly using sports journalist Adan Manzano’s credit card at stores — and was later captured with him in surveillance camera footage, cops told fox8live.com.

Manzano was found unresponsive in his hotel room in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner on Wednesday. His cause of death wasn’t immediately clear Friday.

Colbert has so far only been charged with property crimes, including fraud and theft, Kenner police told the outlet.
